Behavioral patterns, worldviews and faith

Our world today is insanity on steroids. And most of us are more or less guilty of allowing for it to be this way. In this instance, guilt does not imply intent. In this case it is often the opposite of intent.

One well known that quote about insanity is that it’s “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result”. Now we do the same things that have been proven to make things worse. And we do them more and faster, over and over again. We do them more and faster while somehow expecting thing to get better. Until we lose hope completely and just keep doing things out of habit while we wait for death.

The good news is that there is a rather clear way out of this mess. Our lives, both on an individual and collective level, are the sum total of the circumstances we are born into, plus our thoughts, feelings, words, beliefs and actions. And all of these things go together.

Sure, things happen that we have no control over whatsoever, which are devastating beyond repair. But these things are a very small minority. For the most part, when tragedy strikes, it could either have been avoided all together, or we could be in a position where we could cope with it enough to get by,

So if life isn’t what we want it to be, this is where we have to look. At our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, words and actions. Today I’m going to focus on our beliefs. Because this is where it starts. Our beliefs are the lense that we view reality through and depending on what we believe, it will have a tremendous effect on our lives.

We can take a very prevalent belief in today’s society. If we believe that life ultimately is pointless, devoid of higher meaning, this will be reflected in what we think, feel, do and say. If you think that life isn’t worth taking seriously anyway, you might as well stay an infant till the day you die and waste your life on fastfood and mindless entertainment.

This was where I was heading in my late teens and early twenties. I remember quite clearly when this destructive philosophy started to get hold of my mind. When I was seventeen I read The Satanic Bible by Anton Lavey. For those that don’t know, on the surface it’s ego-affirming atheism, even though I today believe that there is something more sinister behind its content.

I was an atheist and the idea that there are no such things as right and wrong or higher meanings appealed to me. I found it to be the logical conclusion of the belief that we seize to exist completely when we die. If this would be the conditions that we all live under, I still can’t see how it could be any different. Luckily I know better today.

If you want to know how much beliefs affect us, this whole single worldview shaped how I dressed, the music I listened to, what friends I hung out with and what activities I chose to engage in. And all of these things reinforced each other. And my choices twenty years ago still have an impact on my life today. Because even when you find abundant proof that God exists, that life doesn’t end with death and you therefore want to turn your life around, it’s not that easy. I’m glad that I didn’t form any addictions, except maybe occasional overeating. But I have an overwhelming load of habitual ways of thinking and acting that are not easy to let go of.

Have you ever noticed what happens when you try to act against an ingrained pattern? Anxiety will rise up inside. You will feel a tremendous pull to stay where you are and act like you’ve always acted. And this is if you’re lucky enough to realize that you are acting out a pattern that you wish to change. Many times you will just unconsciously assume that “this is how reality is and this is the only possible response to it.”

What I’ve found, which is something that I talk about a lot on this blog, is that we are not in control of our lives. Not left to ourselves and our own reason. Our thoughts may fool us that we are making rational decision, while in reality we are not.

This line of thought is what I will expand on in the next blog post.

Perception, God and the Bible

We need to take back the control of our minds! In this blog post I will explore the conditions that we live under from my perspective as a Christian and believer in God. But I will try to do so in a manner that will offer some food for thought for anyone, regardless of prior beliefs. And I ask of you that you try and relate what I'm saying here to your own life and experience. Because it's so easy that we turn what we read into just empty word. Especially in these days, when so much is trying to catch our attention.

I believe that the truth is to be found in the Bible. I also believe in progressive revelation. This means that I don’t believe that the whole truth has been revealed to us yet. I believe that the truth of the Bible expands as we learn more about the world and the particular time that we are living in. And I believe that some of our current well-established interpretations need to be discarded, in favor of others that are more plausible.

We live in a world where everyone is trying to get our attention. But few seem to care about us as people. Some do. But when it comes to those that don’t, they at best want to use us to further an agenda that they truly consider noble. At worst, they want to ruthlessly exploit us purely for their own gain. To make it worse, what can be a noble agenda for one person, can be ruthless exploitation for another. It all depends on the person’s character and actual knowledge about the issue at hand.

Here is a little part of my experience: The more I learn about the world, myself and my being in the world, the more confusing I find everything. I bet many of you feel the same way. We don’t know who we can trust anymore. If we’ve started to understand just a little bit of what is really going on in the world, we know that we most definitely cannot trust politicians. Neither can we trust the mainstream media, nor public figures. And those that oppose the world views that are pushed by journalists and politicians for the most part don’t seem trustworthy either.

To me, there is only one way out of this mess. Please tell me if you’ve found another.

To you that don’t believe: I’m not asking you to believe without evidence. I’m only asking you to start paying more attention to your experience and being open to whatever you may find when you do so.

To me, God is not just something that I choose to believe in. To me, the existence of God is absolutely undeniable. It’s my lived reality. But since this knowing comes from personal experience, I cannot prove to anyone that I’m telling the truth. I do, however, believe that this is something that everyone can find out for themselves. That they can find this out by just opening up to the possibility that God might exist and want a personal relationship with us. By hoping that me and all those other countless people throughout history, that believe or have believed, are not just delusional. In this hopeless world, what have you got to lose?

Something I do believe wholeheartedly, is that it’s more reasonable to believe that reality is more than what we can perceive with our five senses, than to believe that this is all reality is. If you look at history, it’s abundantly clear that we’ve never been able to trust what our senses seem to tell us about the world. Why would things be different today?

This is not an argument for the existence of God per se. Just an argument against the idea that matter is all there is. Ultimately, as I said in the beginning, our relationship with our creator is personal. It’s not about reason or rational arguments.

With that being said, we can understand the conditions that we live under and thus gain more clarity. And I believe that, even though we ultimately can always put our trust in God, this is just what many of us have to do. Because there is a battle for our minds happening right now.

One fundamental condition that we live under, which is relevant for the discussion that is to follow is this: We only have access to the contents of our own minds. This is self-evident. And yet, many of us don’t reflect much upon what this means. When I started thinking about this, it changed my whole view of the world and how I relate to it.

All I have access to, is my subjective experience. I cannot even know for sure that what I’m experiencing has any relation to what is going on outside of myself. I of course have to assume this to function in the world and not go crazy. And since I can communicate with others, they can confirm or disconfirm my experience. But I cannot know whether their experience is correct. Neither can I know that other people are telling me the truth about their experience. And to complicate things further, I cannot know that we mean the same things, with the words they use to describe their experience. For the most part, I can know the opposite: that words mean different things to different people.

Yet, truth seems to matter. A lot! We don’t like when people lie or deceive us. We also have emotions attached to many of our beliefs. When we do, we get uncomfortable when someone challenges our beliefs. If we have strong emotions attached to them we might get angry. Especially if we think that we have the arguments firmly on our side.

Let me give you an example of how our perception can become distorted:

Lately I’ve been thinking about when I studied psychology at the university. One subject was: “men that are abusive to their partners”. This was framed as men’s will to dominate women. Because this is what these men said in the interviews. We were given the image of a man that calculating used force to dominate their partner. But what if this is incorrect? These studies said nothing about who these individual men were. What if at least many of these men felt helpless in most areas of life, but tried to dominate the few areas where they could feel powerful? It doesn’t make it any more okay, but it sheds a totally different light on the problem. The problem is no longer dominant men that use force to subjugate women. It instead becomes broken, disempowered men that try to grab on to what little power they can in their lives, in the most dysfunctional, destructive way possible. I would never say that this is always the case. There are of course thoroughly cruel people, that use violence in a cold, calculated way. But what if these are the minority cases?

In other words: We have an event. We have the perpetrator that describes the event. He tells us how he sees what happened. Then we have the researcher that tries to understand what the perpetrator is communicating. The researcher then puts it down in his or her own words. And then we have these findings reproduced by other academics, that include them in their own papers or course literature. Then we finally have classes taught on the subject and students assimilating the information. We have now moved very far away from the actual situations and the people involved in them.

Now comes the interesting and quite frightening part. And the whole reason for this lengthy example: Our identities shape our perception of reality. If I assign a certain label to myself, such as “feminist”, “anti-feminist”, “alt-right”, “ or “anti-racist”, this label will become part of how I interpret and thus describe reality. None of us are immune to this. Labels come with an emotional charge. And while emotions are an important way of understanding reality, if we aren’t conscious of how they shape our thinking, they will inevitably distort our perception. So if someone, in this case a researcher, views information through a distorted filter, he/she will interpret the information in a way that conforms to his/her worldview. Unless he/she can be objective enough to override said worldview.

Our distorted perception works something like this: I will embrace certain information. Then reinforce it in my mind. I do this by thinking about it and what it means. And by discarding other information. I can look for valid ways of dismissing information that I don’t like. Or I can discard it completely without thinking. Or I can distort it so that I can dismiss it. This last way is called a straw man and is called so because a figure of straw is easy to knock down. We often have no problem seeing this way of reasoning in others. But it’s much harder to spot it in ourselves.

In short, we look for information that supports our beliefs. And not only that. We also interpret the information in a way that suppors said beliefs and describe it to others in a way that supports our beliefs. But to us, we are only stating facts.

This is also just one side of it. Now we add streaming services, social media and algorithms to the mix. It is today common knowledge that the algorithms of the biggest streaming services and social media, suggest media based on prior consumption. This means that if you are looking into information that is more right wing, you will see more and more information and perspectives related to this. And the same goes for the left. This has today created two very distinct camps that fiercely oppose each other, even if they in many ways share the same problems and concerns.

This is of grave concern, since this creates more and more animosity between ordinary people. This is by design, since those that truly prey on us want us to fight each other instead of seeing what is really going on. We could wake up from this nightmare and start opposing our captors. Instead we perpetuate the nightmare by hating our neighbor for not sharing our beliefs and hating ourselves for not living up to impossible standards. And since we’re told that religion is the root of all evil, we learn to hate religion as well. This in spite of the fact that godlessness and the sense of meaninglessness that it produces, is arguably the root cause of much of the degeneration of our culture.

While we’re at the subject of those that govern us in the overall framework of perception: The actions of those that govern us don’t seem to make much sense. At least when looked at from the perspective of them representing those that voted them into office. On the other hand, if you start looking at the function of government from a different perspective it start start to make sense. This perspective would be: increasing control and surveillance, and transferring money from the masses into the hands of a wealthy few so that these wealthy few can increase their power.

All of this amounts, in my view undeniably, to something dark on the horizon. Something that is planned and by design. Something that is hidden in plain sight. Something that, once seen, cannot be unseen.

In the storm that is coming, I put my trust in God. Because I know that God exists. And I have to believe and trust that God is who he says he is in the Bible. That he knows and wants what’s best for us. I cannot se where else there is hope to be found.

Ever since I came to believe in God seventeen years ago I’ve immersed myself in religion and spirituality. Since then, I’ve only found more reasons to believe. And even though I’ve found plenty of reasons to doubt what I’ve believed, or change my beliefs, I’ve never found reason to doubt my core faith in a good, almighty creator.

Throughout this time, I’ve not always been a Christian. It’s a faith that I’ve been growing into over the years with a lot of going back and forth, until finally something clicked. Something that began seventeen yeas ago, but came to fruition about six months ago. It can be summed up as an ever growing, inner knowing, followed by a sense of peace and joy, that grows with the knowing.

I believe that we can only take back our sovereignty with the help of God. By reconnecting with our creator. My belief in God and all that it entails is what colors my whole perception of reality. This is the lense that I choose to view the world, myself, other people and my relation to the world and other people through.

The best way of understanding God and his will I have found in the Bible. I choose this lense because I believe it to be absolutely true. I believe the Bible to be the word of God, handed down through ordinary humans. Ordinary humans that were not called primarily because of their moral virtues. For some of them this was part of the reason. But many of them were great sinners. I think that part of the reason why they were chosen, was because God knew that they, sometimes reluctantly, would say yes and then do what needed to be done.

To me, since our reason is so fallible, I think that the question of whether a worldview seems to lead us where we want to go is very relevant. That this question should be taken seriously when we search for the truth.

On this point, the Bible has never failed me, while all other teachings that I have chosen to guide me have done so. What the Bible says may at first seem counterintuitive. But it has always provided me with an accurate analysis of the world and the human condition. This analysis has helped me to break free from much of the unconscious programming of my mind. That which the world has instilled in me without me knowing it. Without me having made any conscious choices about it.

The Bible has corrected many of my distorted perceptions. Thus it has helped me to gain clarity in areas such as career, family, dreams, goals, entertainment, sex and social relations. Areas where what has seemed reasonable from a human and our culture’s perspective, has proved to break down my psyche and spirit.

In this darkness that we are now facing, I believe that Jesus is the only truly valid guiding light. The ideal that we should strive for, no matter who we are, what we’ve done or what the world tells us. In my going back and forth, Christianity has never failed me. And I’ve always been led astray when I’ve deviated from it. So the Bible and the person and message of Jesus is where I’m going to put my trust to guide me through the chaos, which is soon to unfold.

But I’m not looking to convince you of anything, even if it might seem that way. What I want you to do, is find out the truth for yourself. And when doing so, it could be good to keep in mind, that ultimately everything is personal experience, i.e. subjective perception. Subjective perception of an objective reality.

To my brothers and sisters in the NEW AGE (and everyone else)

Truth matters! More and more so in the extraordinary times that we are living in. And what lenses you view the world through matter gravely. Because these lenses shape how you see the world, what you think about it and how you act in it. So you have to be careful what you allow into your mind. And what you allow to control your mind.

Before we continue I want to ask a couple of things of you: Forget everything that you think that you know about Christianity and the Bible. Embrace the possibility that within Christianity there is room for more love, joy, vibrant bliss and ecstasy than you could possibly imagine or find anywhere else. That when Jesus said: “the truth shall set you free” he really meant this. Which implies that if we view the Bible as a boring rulebook that hinders us from doing what we really want to do, we have misunderstood it. Because yes, the Bible asks things of us, which other teachings don’t. It asks us to do some things and give up others. But it doesn’t ask anything of us that isn’t for our own good.

If we wish to bring some more clarity into what may be called “spiritual confusion”, we need to start by asking ourselves the right questions: “Does this really lead me where it promises to lead me?”, “How does this actually benefit me and those around me?”, “Where is this leading me?”, “How is it truly affecting me?”, “Does it lead to more clarity or more confusion?”, “What is the purpose of this particular practice that I’m engaged in?” and “Does it truly fulfill that purpose?”. Another question that also most definitely is important is: “Does this truly make me happy?”

I’m not pretending to know what your answers are to these questions. I only know what mine are, which I hope will become clear throughout this text.

One thing that I do know for a fact however, is that regardless of prior beliefs, God is not just some abstract creative force. God is deeply personal, has a will and communicates with us in different ways all the time. And this is a good thing, because this means that we have perfect guidance to rely on. That we’re not left to our own faulty reason when it comes to figuring our how to think, speak and act. Because even if we need to use our reason to the best of our ability, on our own we will inevitably be led astray. There are so many forces, both within ourselves and in the world that confuse and deceive us.

That God is personal, has a will and communicates with us I know as absolute truth. This I know from personal experience. I’m not asking you to take my word for it. What I’m asking is to try this way of viewing God out for yourself, pray about it, meditate on it and use it as the lense through which you view the world. Take it seriously and see where it leads you. For me, it also finally led me to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. These are now real to me. Not just abstract figures that I can read about in the Bible. And my relationship with them is growing every day.

Now comes the part where I might really lose you. Therefore I feel the need to explain what I’m saying before I say it. I believe that there is a reason behind why mainly Christians and New Agers are waking up to the state of the world. Because of this and other reasons, I’m not prepared to dismiss everything within the New Age, even though I firmly believe in the truth of the Bible.

Now, there is an awakening happening on the planet. One that is spiritual in nature. And I don’t think that anyone knows exactly what this awakening is. More and more people are awakening every day. We are awakening to the true state of the world and what powers are truly governing it. What powers are governing us. We are awakening to more and more spiritual aspects of our physical reality. And we are awakening to more and more aspects of what is going on inside ourselves. For many of us, this has become a lived, undeniable reality.

Furthermore, I firmly believe that everything that is true about this awakening is 100% biblical. This means that everything about it that is true must be compatible with the Bible. And everything that we ever need should fit into this framework. The only things that we need to discard, are empty things that don’t benefit us anyway. Things that just cause us pain and confusion. Again I urge you to ask yourself the right questions. Because it’s so easy to get lost in what sounds good on the surface, but does not keep its promises. And at least for me and my wife, it has been difficult to admit to ourselves that what we have invested much time and energy into, has not lead us where it promised. Where we hoped that it would lead us.

What exactly this means I have yet to figure out. Some people say that you should stay away from any spirituality that is not from the Bible or about the Bible. While I respect these beliefs and do not wish to dismiss them, I don’t feel that I, in good conscience, can accept them without thorough examination.

For example, I find nothing in the Bible that contradicts the idea that we need to cultivate a non-reactive mindset. When we learn to just feel the emotions that come up in different situation without reacting to them, we can begin to allow the emotions to guide our actions instead of controlling them. Just like we should often not act on the first thought that pops into our minds either. If we learn this, I believe that it will make us better Christians. We may even clear the path for the Holy Spirit to act through us.

I also know for a fact that suppressed emotional energy gets stored in the body as tensions, which authors that often get grouped within the New Age, such as David Hawkins, have pointed out.

And here we come to the crux of the matter. There is so much dead weight in the New Age. And what I believe is that the Bible will help us to understand what we need to shed and what can be kept. Here I find two questions helpful: “Does this have any demonstrable practical use?” and “Is it compatible with Biblical teachings?”

I have just shown two examples of what I believe can be useful. Now I’m going to give you an example of what I believe should not just be discarded, but shun like the plague: I believe you should stay far away from channelers. For those that don’t know, channeling is when someone allows their body to be taken over by a spiritual entity so that it can communicate through them.

The Bible is full of warnings concerning this type of activity. This is simply because we don’t know what these channeled entities are. And as far as I’m concerned the channelings that I’ve read about or listened to have not given me anything of practical value. It has mostly been either gibberish or ideas about the world that can neither be confirmed nor falsified. I believe that if these channeled entities really are higher beings, that are here to help us, they should be able to tell us things that are useful and not just feed us claims about how the world works. Claims that, again, cannot be confirmed or falsified.

Besides, the Bible clearly says that after Jesus left his earthly life, God sent us his Holy Spirit. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is with us all the time and that it has the same power to help and guide us as Jesus. So why would you need to turn to other spirits for help?

In other words, my experience tell me that, with regards to channeling, the answer is “no” to both of the questions that I just posed.

I would furthermore advice anyone wishing to study authors labelled New Age to approach them with caution. It’s so easy to buy into a whole package when we see that it contains some truth and wisdom. Me and my wife have both been led astray by teachings within the New Age that we now can see are not sound.

In other words, I don’t believe that everything about the New Age is evil or satanic. But I do believe that most of it leads us astray. And I do believe that some of it would qualify as Satanic. At least when taken together.

I believe that just like we can check what is sound against the teachings of the Bible, we can actually check what is unsound against the teachings of the Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor Lavey. I believe that Lavey, in very clear language, has laid out satanic doctrine in exact detail, while promoting it as a common sense philosophy.

The idea that we are our own gods is the first satanic idea that comes to mind. Another one is that everything is relative. That there are no absolute truths. Together with this one comes also the trivialization of everything. That nothing is really serious and that we are mainly here to have fun and explore. And yeah, the idea mentioned in the beginning, of God as just an impersonal force, can actually also be found in the Satanic Bible. What I’ve noticed is that when we have no absolute truths to rely on, our perception of reality becomes distorted. When we take nothing seriously, we end up excusing all kinds of behavior by saying that “ultimately it doesn’t matter anyway”. And when we view God as just an impersonal force, we miss the whole point of religion and spirituality.

To conclude: Mine and my wife’s experience with New Age can be summed up as follows. We did find some usefulness in some authors often classified as New Age. The aforementioned David R. Hawkins is one of them. Two others that come to mind are Eckhart Tolle and Joe Dispenza. But for the most part, it sent us on a wild goose chase. We ended up seeking more and more knowledge, self-development and abilities, while in reality getting nowhere. We found that much within it that promises healing, power and knowledge actually breaks us, disempowers us and causes more and more confusion.

When we finally decided to embrace the message of the Bible and discard everything that was incompatible with it, we invited peace and healing into our lives. While that which on the surface seemed reasonable within the New Age didn’t hold up when tested against reality, the opposite proved to be true when it came to the Bible. What on the surface seemed unreasonable in the Bible, proved true when tested against reality. And the more we studied the Bible, the more we started to see the infinite depth that it contains. This while other teachings more and more revealed the shallowness behind their often many words. Which for us at least shows the truth in the saying of st. Paul, that “…the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God” (1 Corinthians 3:19).

Truth, values, principles and trust in God

In the times ahead, we are going to need to be trusting. Not trusting in worldly authorities, but in God, who is infinitely more powerful and wise than any human. If we believe in the God of the Bible, trusting in God means that we trust that some truths and values are sacred. No matter what goes on in the world. We must trust the almighty creator of the universe enough to believe that he has a plan. And believe in his plan enough to hold on to what we believe in, even when many will say that we are heading for disaster. When many will say that because of our situation, we have to comply what we know to be wrong. If, in the name of emergency, we will be asked to comply with what we know to be wrong, we must have the faith and strength to say no.

Ultimately it is a question of love and fear. Whether you want to interpret Satan symbolically or literally, you can call God love and Satan fear. God is truth. Satan is the father of lies. Satan wants to scare you into submission. God wants to love you into willing obedience. Satan wants to force you into things that are not in your best interest. God wants to, loving and gently, show you what he knows is for your highest good.

When we see absolute truth we recognize it. Absolute truth doesn’t need intellectual arguments. Absolute truth is recognized as such as soon as we give up trying to understand it with the intellect. We just know, because it is written into our hearts. Think of it this way: Values that have truth in them, such as love, compassion, balanced generosity, freedom and so on, don’t need explanation. We just recognize them as good. And the opposite is also true. Values such as power hunger, boastful pride, greed etcetera are recognized as bad without us having to argue for it.

We are now in a time where many believe that everything is relative. We also live in a world that to many is devoid of higher meaning or purpose. And there is a big danger in this, because when we don’t have any truths or values to hold on to, we easily become victims of expediency. There we have another ugly word by the way: “expediency”. One that, coupled with “relativism”, becomes downright lethal. Especially in a world where so many dangers are present or lurking on the horizon. From this perspective, it’s easy to accept whatever deemed necessary to ensure survival. Those of us that have faith in a personal, almighty God with a will and a plan, must have the courage to trust that plan and not give our consent, when worldly authorities overstep their boundaries.

If you look at the Bible, both the Old and New Testament, it is full of people that are prepared to die for what they stand for. Prepared to bet their very existence in this world on God and his son. When someone comes and asks you to give up your freedom in the name of emergency and maybe even threatens your life if you don’t comply, will you have the courage, faith and strength to refuse?

Never forget that God is with us!

We interpret SPIRITUAL AWAKENING differently depending on prior beliefs

Let’s begin with a bit of psychology: We all interpret situations differently depending on our identity and prior beliefs. Our memory also becomes distorted over time, in a way that is colored by our beliefs and our identity.

Now, let’s take the spiritual awakening that is happening on the planet. Many, regardless of faith, are going through it. Even some atheists are going through it, but unless they realize that they are wrong in their atheism, they will not even begin to understand what is happening to them.

My point is that something very strange is happening on our planet. Something spiritual in nature. Something that is often referred to as a global spiritual awakening, where individuals wake up to who they really are and the truth about reality. Those that are going through this know that it’s true. It’s not “maybe it’s happening, maybe it’s not, we’ll see”. This is most definitely happening, even if no one seems to have the whole picture.

Since the awakening, what ever it is, is spiritual in nature, it makes sense that we interpret it through our prior spiritual beliefs. There is nothing wrong with this. On the contrary, it would be strange if what is happening now has nothing whatsoever to do with our current beliefs about religion and spirituality. Or that what is happening now is going to erase all of religious history up until now.

I myself make no secret of my belief that Christianity, and especially the person of Jesus, has a special role to fill in what is happening now. But I’m also trying to stay open to what other beliefs can tell me about this. And considering what role the church has played throughout history, I’m not going to just go ahead and put 100% faith into biblical interpretation based on church doctrine. But when it comes to Jesus, I believe something like this: No matter what it means that Jesus is the son of God, or that Jesus is both fully God and fully human, Jesus shows the nature of God embodied in one single person. Jesus was what God would have been like if God was human. And humans were made in the image of God.

Our realities are shaped by our subjective experiences and our beliefs about them. Our beliefs are shaped by our identities. Depending on who we believe ourselves to be, what we believe about the world, what we value and so on, we will accept some information and perspectives while rejecting others. Then comes the passage of time. We forget certain things because we don’t think about them, while we reinforce (and distort) others by ruminating over them and discussing them with other, often likeminded, people.

I believe that an important conclusion to be drawn from this, is that it’s time that we start talking to each other. We have this distorted view and perception. This is self-evident once we see the conditions that we live under clearly enough. And we might not be able to understand what is going on as long as we stick to talking about it with likeminded people. And we all know that something happens, when people come together and discuss things without the ego-based need to be right. Something that becomes fertile soil for important insights.

Discussion of the movie: Early Warning

Early Warning is a Christian End Times movie that me and my wife watched the other day. The reason I wanted to write about it is because what is taking place in it, matches the plans that the World Economic Forum has more or less perfectly.

The movie came out 1981!

Just watch the first 10 minutes of the movie and then watch a short video about the WEF:s plans that came out this year. I’ll leave a link to both of them at the end of the post.

The movie is about two journalists struggling to expose the One World Foundation’s plotting to take over the world and usher in global tyranny. It’s clearly low budget, but some effort has been put into it. So if you have nothing better to do and don’t have anything against Christian end times movies, I suggest that you watch the rest of the movie as well.

I honestly don’t know what to make of this. I‘ve talked about it before. On the one hand, people, including myself, are most definitely going through spiritual awakenings. And even if I see myself as a Christian, most of those that go through awakenings don’t. And most of those people believe more or less that we all are here for a learning experience, and even though we are heading for some dark times, there is really nothing to be afraid of for anyone, since reality basically is an illusion anyway. And I believe that there is some merit to this. I’ve noticed, for example, that as I go through my awakening, the world seems both more alive and vivid on the one hand, and less real and solid on the other. This does sound a lot like it could be a part of being in the world but not of it though, when I think about it.

On the other hand, it seems undeniable that biblical end times prophecies are coming true today. And I know that I can be a bit eccentric at times, but I don’t want to become some crazy doomsday prophet. I’m not someone that has the habit of screaming at people to “repent or go to hell!” or that walks around with a holier than thou attitude. On the contrary, I don’t believe that even the worst of us deserve to go to hell, because I know that there are always reasons for people being who they are and doing what they are doing. And even if there were absolutely no reasons whatsoever, I still don’t believe that anyone can do anything that would justify eternal suffering. And quite frankly, knowing the history of the church, I’m not inclined to trusting the theology that has been developed within its framework since the church became a political power.

As for the end times, I do not want to live in them. It would be much easier if I just had my spiritual awakening to focus on. I would be glad if I could simply look at all of this as if I'm just here to learn. If there ultimately was nothing to worry about, because in the end it will turn out okay for everyone. Something along these lines is what I hope for. But I'm in no way sure about it.

Furthermore, when I look into alternative spirituality, something that many Christians distance themselves firmly from, I find much undeniable wisdom in it. Not in all of it of course. But in a lot. And a lot of it seems congruent with biblical teachings. So much so, that some Christian thinkers, such as for example Olle Carlsson, have ideas that are more or less inseparable from those of non-Christian thinkers. And yeah, I know that some may say that Olle Carlsson isn’t a real Christian and bla bla bla… What I wonder is when people will no longer get away with making such claims with zero substance in them. I seriously feel lost and confused when it comes to this. I take this whole thing seriously, because I know that something big is about to happen. So I spend loads of time and energy trying to figure out what is what. And the best thing I can come up with is that both perspectives must somehow be true. That one shows us the prophecies that are coming true, while the other shows our true nature - what it means to be made in the image of God. There seem to be people, such as David Wilcock and J.P Sears that seem to be moving in a similar direction as well.

The makers of this movie however, would in all likelihood not agree with such a viewpoint. There is quite a bit of talk about being saved or unsaved and the threat of hell is always present. This is what I have difficulty with. On the one hand, others that see these prophecies coming true seem very certain that adherence to strict biblical doctrines is the only viable alternative. On the other hand, my experiences, that are undeniably real, that are filled with such blissful feelings of love and connection, experiences that have turned my whole life upside down, continue pointing towards alternative spirituality. And it sucks to belong to a small minority, when most of the world believes that you’re wrong. Especially when you yourself are filled with so much doubt and confusion that I am. And at the same time it’s wonderful. Because even though I don’t know exactly what is happening, I at least know this much for sure: It is real!

A SPIRITUAL perspective on how EXTRAORDINARY the TIMES that we are living in actually are

We are in all likelihood living in the most important time in the history of the planet. If you’ve started to understand anything about the times we are living in, no matter what exactly you think that you have begun to understand, you must agree with me on this. When all of that which is taking place right now, no matter exactly what it is, is over, the world will be completely different from before. So different that nothing in our known history compares. And yes, I understand which events that compete with it and I stand by what I’m saying. If you understand what I’m talking about here, you agree. You agree because you can see this for yourself.

I want you to just take a moment and think about this. What this means. I honestly don’t know what is going on or where it is going to end. I used to think that I knew. But all I know for sure now is that God and spirituality has something to do with it. And that whatever this is, it’s happening. And maybe it’s the same for all of us that are going through this. We know that something extraordinary is happening. And depending on which sources we come into contact with and which ideas we take to heart, we form beliefs around it. But what if none of us know exactly what this is that is happening?

What I do know, is that even though I know that this is happening, I don’t think that I’ve even begun to take in the whole situation. It doesn’t feel really real to me, even though I know that it is.

Let’s put this in some perspective: We are facing something that is going to change not just our world, but our perspective on our very existence, spirituality, the world, God and ourselves forever. But to a large degree it’s still invisible to our five senses. Knowing this, it’s probably not strange that it’s hard to fathom. We’ve put the absolute majority of our attention on our five senses throughout most of our lives. We still do, but as we wake up to other aspects of reality, our attention is drawn away more and more from the five senses. And as it is, our perception of ourselves and the world becomes more clear. Our consciousness expands on multiple levels. As we dissolve blockages inside and connect more with the flow of life, instead of having our focus only on the five-sense reality, we start to connect more dots in the five sense reality as well. We start to see through the distortions. It’s a strange paradox. The more we put our focus in the five-sense reality, the more distorted our perception becomes. What we need to understand is that we are never going to think our way through this. Our thoughts can only guide us when they are free from distortions, which is something that can only happen as we come into contact with more of our insides and remove the energy blockages that cloud our vision. This is also probably why it seems futile to reason with someone that hasn’t begun to wake up. I’m not saying this to create division between those that are awake and those that still sleep. It’s just a fact that there is a very definite before and after when it comes to this, and before it happens, one is blocked from seeing certain things.

People both within the world religions and more modern spirituality are waking up to this. And perhaps we should consider that there is a reason for this. That maybe we need to talk to each other about this and try to figure out what it means, instead of just shutting each other out because we belong to different faiths. I realize that we need to be very cautious when it comes to ideas about a universal, global religion or spirituality, not in the least because of the warnings about this, for example in the Bible. But we don’t have to agree on everything. We don’t have to agree on anything. What is most important is already in place: There is a god and a spiritual reality, we live in very extraordinary, unprecedented times and we do seem to share a common enemy in the World Economic Forum.

I was first reluctant towards using the word “enemy”. But as long as we remember Jesus’ words “Love your enemies”, I don’t think that this is the wrong choice of words. Because what do you call someone that wants to hurt you and force you into things that are not for your best interests?

Before I continue, I want to remind your of just how extraordinary these times are. In all likelihood, nothing since the dawn of life, has been so significant in this planet’s history, as what is taking place right now. Nothing. And maybe all of us that see this, regardless of faith, need to start talking to each other. If we start having a conversation where everyone takes responsibility for approaching said conversation with as little ego as possible, maybe we can start discerning what is true from what is false together. This means listening respectfully to ALL perspectives, no matter how disagreeable we find them, and trying to understand where other people are coming from. It means to be open to change one’s mind, but not for any other reason than that one is thoroughly convinced that it’s called for. It also means to stick with what one truly believes in, but without attaching personal importance to it.

I don’t know exactly how many we are. But I bet that we are many. What can we do if we put away all that separates us and connect with each other for real? What could be accomplished if we start working together and value each other? As long as we are divided, it’s much easier to control us.

Will we have a dystopian future? PART 2

There is hope! More and more of us start to realize that we are all glorious children of God. That our natural state is love and support for each other. That we don’t need an external force to make us cooperate and create heaven on earth. That we, once we connect with God and see things clearly, will want to do it anyway. That there is no conflict between one’s own happiness and living in the service of others. On the contrary, people that live only for themselves most of the time live pretty sad, hollow, meaningless lives.

What I’ve realized is that what the criminal elite does, is a perversion of true values. The Marxist principle of "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is great as long as it is not forced on anyone. As soon as it’s forced on anyone, it turns from something very good to something very evil. I think that at the heart of the matter, this has something to do with love and conditions. It is something that should be done out of love for one’s fellow beings. And those that receive more than they contribute, should get to do so with no strings attached. And also because that which is given should not be considered a right, but should be received in gratitude.

What communism does is the opposite. It forces everyone to give what they can and having one’s needs met comes with conditions. This kills the concept of unconditional love on both ends. It imposes this system on people with no regard for the inner lives of the individuals that are parts of the system. To it we are just ants in an anthill.

This is what the World Economic Forum wants for us. But it’s not for misguided altruistic reasons. They want to rule the world with an iron hand, disguised as benevolence and care for humanity.

What we need to understand clearly, is that our free will and our motivations are everything. The goal may have many similarities: Basically a sustainable world where we take care of each other and work together to build something better. But whether this is chosen by our free will or imposed on us from the outside makes all the difference.

Will we have a dystopian future? PART 1

Photo by alex kristanas on Unsplash
In the times we are living in it’s important to not give in to fear. And I’m saying this as much to myself as I’m saying it to you. More and more people are going through their spiritual awakenings. That means that more and more people are seeing through what is going on. And whatever happens, we need to remember that everything is in God’s hands.

So, what is happening exactly? It is pretty clear what the criminal elite wants for us by now. A technocratic society with unlimited power and freedom for them and communism for the rest of us. Basically a global, hi-tech version of every communist society that has ever existed. They are centered around the World Economic Forum and they are starting to install their puppets into the governments around the world (I will link to a video about this at the end of this post). This is not a crazy conspiracy theory. Everything is spelled out on the WEF's homepage, even if it's sugarcoated in jargon about saving the planet and making the world more equal.

I think that it’s important to keep one thing in mind. Namely that most people that know about the World Economic Forum and their plans for a Great Reset have a very negative view of them. And that the World Economic Forum most definitely know about the spiritual awakening that is happening. Which means that they are probably trying to rush their agenda. They act as if this is something that everyone is just going to get on board with, even though, so far it seems like very few are interested in doing so.

What they are counting on is that people change their minds when they crash the world economy, as they count on people needing them to survive. Couple this with some propaganda about the need to combat climate change and protecting us against increased civil unrest or situations such as the one we’ve been in since 2020 and there will undoubtedly be those that see no other way out. These would primarily be those that see no higher meaning with anything, believe that this little tiny life is all that we’ve got and therefore sees The Great Reset as their only hope for a somewhat tolerable existence.

To top it all off, if you’ve read the two big dystopian classics of the 1900s, 1984 and Brave New World, the future that we’re heading towards seems eerily much like a mix of the two. If you haven’t read them, I would say that they are essential readings for the times we are facing.

There is hope though. And I will talk about this in the next post.
